It’s that time of the year when most of us reflect on the year that has just gone by. And if you’re like me, you wonder how it can already be December. “Where did the time go?” We all get busy, don’t we? Family, work, leisure, email, social media, travel… and sometimes, just trying to make it through the day.
We may wonder if we missed out on accomplishing what we set out to do around this time last year. Were we so busy, that life passed us by? The Question I No Longer Ask I used to ask people what their New Year’s resolution is, but over time, I came to realize that resolutions, whether for myself or others, did not always create lasting results. A “resolution,” as we define it, is when we resolve to improve our life in one form or another. This can translate as us changing an undesired trait or behavior or trying to accomplish a personal goal. The challenge that often arises is when we make a resolution, but don’t have a clear plan in place to accomplish what we desire. Most of us tend to get caught up in the excitement that we can make a change, and then we lose momentum within a few months because “life gets in the way,” or we have excuses or thoughts that take us off course. Moving Beyond Resolutions for Lasting Results Through experience, experimenting and a bit of “soul-searching”, over time I became enlightened to a number of practices that help us to create lasting change and transformation, and that take us beyond simply making a resolution. I will touch on the fundamental qualities of one of those practices now. I encourage you to try this right now, even if just quickly within your mind at first (and then later you can write it out more fully). There is a method by which we can literally write out or define our desired life. It is, in essence, a living, working plan of your life that includes your relationship with divinity. I often speak about the three stories of our life—the story that we write, the story that’s being written through us and the story that we co-write with Divine Guiding Presence. (I call this presence God.) What we are doing when we write out this desired life/lifestyle, is we bring together these three stories in a way that what we desire and declare can be divinely guided and fulfilled in a wholly beneficial way. This really works. I encourage you to take the time if you are looking for lasting change and greater overall happiness. So, how do you write out this plan? There are four steps that I will summarize for you here:
There is actually a fifth step that requires a greater explanation and guidance, however, doing the above steps helps you to move beyond simply, “making a New Year’s resolution,” and into a place of empowerment where you can create lasting results for this coming year. You have inevitably experienced the empowerment of “love” at various times in your life. When you give out of love, you notice a “feeling” — an empowering feeling — that starts from within and emanates outward.
It is this love that guides the manifestation of a more joyful life. In various spiritual teachings, including those teachings that came through my father in the early 1980s that is documented in the book, Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World, “a love given is a love received”. What you give out is returned to you. When you give out of love, so shall love to be returned. When you give out of joy, so shall it be returned to you. I did not fully realize the beauty of this divine love until I took a deep look into the sessions in Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World. By focusing on that feeling of flow, expansion and joy, and performing more acts out of this divine energy of love—this energy of clear enlightened light and giver of empowerments—you change your life. When your actions are within this energy of “love-given”, you can also say that you are being your “true self,” or being “true to yourself.” As Spirit says in the section, “The Way Thought Works” in Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World, “All of the personality's life on Earth and within the soul element after Earth is seeking and understanding the nature of itself, and that nature is love.” By seeking to understand love, we come to understand ourselves and our purpose having this human experience. Seeking to find our purpose is often difficult because we often seek it out through “thought.” But seeking to understand love is innate, and through love, our purpose is revealed. --- You are free to share this or any part of this article as long as you link back to and credit this blog article. - www.LoveIsTheSeed.com.
In times of need, many turn to timeless spiritual teachings. They are a source of comfort and wisdom for believers and nonbelievers alike because they touch on an inner knowing that exists within each person living this human experience. We each seek in our own unique way a spiritual awakening, to connect with something greater than ourselves, to understand better our life and be reminded that we are never alone.
It is within the messages of Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World that give us the opportunity to consciously open up to a clearer communication with the Universe and invite the light of love, mercy and grace to live through us, and empower us to feel more charged, happy, and positive about our life. Even as I read the words in Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World over and over, I am amazed at how they naturally guide us all to be more mindful. The words carry an energy that exists in many powerful spiritual books. Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World takes you momentarily out of your “story” and into the present moment. It provides you with an important message that you are, in fact, a part of something greater. It is a resource that not only serves as information on the meaning of life in this human experience and in the spirit world, but it also challenges common assumptions and opens us all up to positively transforming our thinking and way of being. My Path from Anxiously Pursuing and Waiting… to Divine Flow I started writing for and organizing the sessions for Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World after looking deeply into my own life experiences, purpose, truths, lessons, challenges and successes, and recognizing a shift I was making to living a more conscious life—acknowledging it from both a karma perspective and that of living in constant companionship with something “greater;” I call that something “greater”, God. It is through the sessions within Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World that I understand the gift of this life and the divine reasons for the heartbreak and challenges I personally have experienced. I am reminded through these sessions that there is always a loving energy that guides and supports every aspect of our existence and evolution. Revealing Truth in Broken Relationships Within the books, Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World and The Three Supreme Gifts: A Practical Approach to Self-Mastery and to Transforming Your Life Here and Now, the topic of “love-given” is spoken of often. The reason is because this energy of “love-given” relates to all of creation, it relates to you as soul and it relates to that unconditional love that we all seek. This love is healing when fully understood.
I want to share the true story of two friends, Deb and Katie, as an example. It is one of my favorite stories that illustrates what happens when we implement this energy of “love-given” in our lives. Deb and Katie had been great friends for many years, when their friendship suddenly ended after an argument. There came a point where they were temporarily going in different life directions, which caused a riff and they no longer spoke. Each of the following quotes is taken from Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World You know where you are and what you need. There is a time that you can no longer struggle for your answer but must just be and accept, so the answer may unfold. – Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World Spirit reminds us that we have all that we need to find the answers that we seek. Our natural tendency to seek answers outside of ourselves. When we do this, it brings up feelings of stress and worry, taking us, in fact, farther from the answers that we seek. Answers are always found within you. (Try this simple heart meditation practice>) There are many a number of paths and yet where it is, is now. God can be reached now, the channels are there, the frequencies are there, and the truth is there. And each touch upon that truth in their life fleetingly, but each do. – Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World This is one of my favorite passages in Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World. For all seeking answers, a closer connection to “something greater,” and those wondering if they are on the right path, know there is no one right path to one specific destination. God can be reached now, and you will find this truth within yourself. When one looks for their answers from mankind one shall receive their answers from mankind. When one looks for their answers from God, one shall receive their answers from God. God is always reconciled and found from within. – Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World If you have ever found yourself confused and torn when making an important decision, I can guarantee that you were trying to make the decision based only on external factors. While it can be beneficial to gain inspiration from others to find answers—whether you were seeking the answer from what others were doing or saying should be done—ultimately the most natural solution is one in which you find within. Love is evolving to understand that the justice in the soul's heart, mind, and vision is that which the soul shall have. In one way or another, a love given is a love received. A love held closely is a love held closely. Therein lies justice; what we give so shall we receive. – Love is the Seed: Teachings from the Spirit World To understand this one concept alone, you are farther in your understanding and enlightenment than you likely realize. This goes back to the very foundation of all creation—the concept of “love-given.” That which you give out is returned to you. What is held closely—or “done solely for the ‘self’” helps no one, including oneself. ---
